God is all around us…

A few years ago I spent a month in Kenya where I learnt so much!!  I generally love hearing how people come to know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour but over there I was just amazed at how God can meet people in the most bizarre of places.  I think very often in Northern Ireland we take for granted the gospel message.  We hear about it in school, in church, in GB and even when we are driving along the road there are often signs with bible verses written on them.

However, in many places in the world there are people who do not know who Jesus is.  So how does God reveal Himself to them?  Well, God has no limits.  I met a man in Kenya who we came to know as Rev Jackson, he belonged to the Maasai tribe.  We used to sit in awe and listen to his stories.  The boys on the team were particularly impressed by the scars in his arms where a lion had wrestled him to the ground (in the Maasai tribe, the young boys must wrestle lions in order to become a  man-or that was what we were told!).  He told us the amazing story of how he came to faith.  He was sitting outside one day and he saw a spider weaving a web and it got him thinking how he came to this earth, his purpose here and eventually it led him to a faith in God.  Amazing!  He then set out to learn more about this creator.

I too am so inspired by God’s creation around us.  When i need time out I love nothing more than just getting out into the open air and standing in awe at this beautiful earth that God has placed us on.  It helps me get things into perspective.  I found this site on the internet that is really inspiring and uses various images of God’s creatures to get us thinking about who God is…

Check it out and remember to leave a comment to let me know what you think! (let us know your Company name as well).
