Last weekend I had one of those “WOW” moments and I thought I would share it with you this week.  My cousin had a beautiful baby girl called Poppy last week (see picture above), she is just adorable-takes after her mummy (and Auntie Rebecca of course).  Anyway I called round to see them and was so amazed to see the baby monitor they have for her.  Any baby monitor I have ever seen before is one that you can hear the baby if they cry.  This one you can do that, but you can also plug it into the TV to watch the baby if you wish.  It has x-ray vision so you can see the baby really clearly even though the lights are off.  Anyway because this was a novelty we sat and watched her.  Bit silly really because she was only a few days old and wasn’t really doing very much, however we all sat in the living room in awe of how wonderful she is. 

And it got me thinking, if that is how I feel about looking at a baby that is not even mine, how much more does God look at us in wonder!!  It says in Psalm 121 v 3-4 ”He will not let your foot slip-he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.”  This verse always brings me much comfort as I think of how God never leaves us, He is always watching over us and taking great delight at what He has created (The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save.  He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing. Zephaniah 3 v 17). 

When you feel a bit down or insecure, remember this.  YOU WERE MADE TO ORDER, exclusively designed by God for a particular purpose.  Only you can carry out the plans He has for you.  He loves and adores you just the way you are and when He watches over you He delights at what He has made.  

There is nothing you can do to make Him love you any more and there is nothing you can do to make Him love you any less….
