This is always a very significant time of the year for those of you who have received GCSE or A-level results.  It can be so daunting yet exciting too as the results very often determine what is next for our lifes.  I dont know about you but I am one of those people who has to have everything worked out in my head before it happens….I have every scenario (or so I think) worked out and I am only too often guilty of second-guessing God.  I waste so much of my time wondering what He is going to do next.  Sometimes though our results can be disappointing and not what we hoped or dreamed of.

Whatever the outcome of our results, one thing we can be 110% sure of is that God is good and He has a perfect plan for us.  Ok, so it may not be what we want for our lifes at this minute but I know from experience that when I look back on my life I can see God’s clear hand of direction.  In fact He knows us better than we know ourselves and He knows where we will be happy and where we can fill our potential.

 I love the verse in Psalm 139 where it says “All the days planned for me were written in your book before I was one day old” (verse 16-New Century Version).  God goes before us working out the perfect plans for our lives.  His way is best, it is the most fulfilling and the most exciting.  He has a plan for us that only we can fulfil and He will place us where we need to be.  In the midst of excitement or disappointment we can miss this but the one thing we need to remember is that God’s promises are true…

So today, if your results were not what you expected then let Him change your disppointments to His appointment and be amazed at how He is going to use you.
