Connected
This week I would like to highlight a new blog for you to check out:
It is called ‘Connected’ (http://gbconnect.wordpress.com/) and is the new blog from our GB Europe Youth Co-ordinator.
If you have been reading the blog for a while you will know Claire, as she was a GBNI Youth Rep for a few years and played a big part in the formation of GEMS. We now have the fabulous team of Jolene and Alison to look after us, while Claire does work with all of the European Fellowship.
I have copied her first blog below, but go on and check connected out, every Monday! The latest blog is from Lauren from St Paul’s in Lisburn! … http://gbconnect.wordpress.com/

This blog is for YOU to
• GET CONNECTED… to each other!
• GET CONNECTED… to your sisters across the globe!
• GET CONNECTED… to essential information!
• GET CONNECTED… to challenging mission opportunities!
• GET CONNECTED… to the exciting ways in which God is moving through Girls’ Brigade internationally!
Updated every Monday, this brings information straight to your finger tips! Blogs over the next few months include:
• an intro to Emily Morina, the captain of the first GB company in Kosova – how is GB getting on in Kosova? Find out how you can visit GB Kosova.
• the One Chance Project – what exactly is the GB International project in Cambodia? Hear about Heather Topham’s (GBEW) experiences.
• an update on Sole Stories: a shoe rack of full of wisdom for and by young women stepping out in life! What is it and how can you get your hands on it?
Girls’ Brigade Europe started this blog to keep you in the ‘know’! One of our aims is to nurture girls and we are trying to do this in a number of exciting ways – starting GB teams to Kosova and bringing youth reps on the GB Europe leadership team. This blog also hopes to empower you by providing information about GB and events direct to you!
What is GB Europe?
GB International is divided into five fellowships (or regions) and they are lead by a leadership team of women from member countries. GB Europe is composed of England and Wales, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Romania. The GB Europe leadership team is a motley crue of women committed to supporting and equipping girls to become followers of Christ (photo to follow!). We meet together three times a year as well as organise a fun and refreshing weekend FOR EVERYONE in June. For more info, check out our website – www.gbeurope.org.
Who am I?
My name is Claire Rush and I am very excited to be the GB Europe Youth Co-ordinator. My role involves improving communication between us and you, developing youth projects and getting your voice and opinions heard. GB is very close to my heart as I became a Christian through the organisation. I am an officer in a fabulous little company in Northern Ireland (big shout out to the Islandmagee girls) and love it. When I am not working, you can find me in a cinema, eating garlic mayo (don’t get too close), dreaming about Kosova or playing with any cute dog that comes my way!
I want to hear your voice! This blog is for YOU so tell me what you think (what do you like/dislike)! Leave a comment or email me on youth@gbeurope.info!
Cheerio,
Claire xx
