Thank God for the work of Girls' Brigade and for the many girls who come week after week learning how to Seek, Serve and Follow Christ. Give thanks for the wonderful privilege and opportunity we have to witness about Jesus without fear of persecution.
Give thanks for the thousands of girls through the years whose lives have been deeply impacted through the fun and friendship they have enjoyed in Girls' Brigade, and the impact GB has had on their spiritual journey.
All those who have given faithful and devoted service to GBNI over many years. Thank God for their desire to lead girls to know Him as Lord. Give thanks for their loyal service in companies, on District Executives, and at National level and for their willingness to shoulder additional responsibilities in a variety of roles.
The leaders and girls who have had the opportunity to served God through mission, camps and holiday Bible clubs during the summer.
Please continue to pray for:
Chaplains, Captains, Officers and Associate Helpers as they meet to prepare and plan for the forthcoming session.
All of the Girls' Brigade girls who are getting ready to go to university/college. Ask that the Lord will be close to them as they get used to their new routines and surroundings. Pray they will stay safe and quickly find friends who love You and that university will be a place where they will grow in faith as well as knowledge.
The Girls who are leaving school and looking for employment. Ask that God will direct their paths and keep them in His constant care. That they will stay faithful to His word and be a witness for Christ in the workplace. Pray for those who are finding it difficult to get employ¬ment; that they will be assured that the Lord has a plan for their lives and that they will earnestly seek and find His purpose for their lives.
Pray for the girls moving into secondary education this September for the first time. Ask God to protect and reassure them, to surround them with good friends and to help them be a good friend to others.
Pray for the girls in our care who are struggling emotionally, who have low self esteem and are feeling afraid and lost. Pray that they will know God's love for them, that they will know they are special and unique in God's eyes, that He is there to help and protect them.
Pray that the Lord would be with our thousands of volunteers who give many hours each week in prayer and preparation for their GB Company session. Ask that God will excite and inspire them through His Word, about how He is going to work in and through them at GB this year. Ask that from the beginning the leaders would have a fresh enthusiasm and excitement about the work of GB.
For the staff in GBHQ that they too would be excited about the work of Girls' Brigade and inspired as they work each day to prepare trainings, resources, workshops, competitions, events, promotional material and serve our online shop customers.
The many Girls' Brigade companies around the world who are also working under the same motto to enable girls to 'Seek, Serve and Follow Christ'. Pray God will meet all their needs-spiritually, physically, and financially to enable them to carry out His work.
Pray for the Scripture Courses this year based on Ephesians 2 v 10 'For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.' (NLT).
Pray for those leading the courses that they will be inspired through the material and that God would equip them to teach the course and that the girls will see Him through not only the Bible stories they hear but also through the testimonies of the leaders. Pray also for the girls that they would have open ears to hear what God wants to say to them and that they will be deeply impacted by what they are hearing each week, so their lives will be transformed.
The girls and leaders who have been bereaved in recent times. Ask that God will help them to get through dark days and that they will know His love and comfort. Pray they will know the love of their GB family and this will bring them comfort.
Those companies who are struggling with volunteers to enable them to function on a week to week basis. Ask the Lord to provide them with not only leaders but leaders who love Him.
Our President, Executive and Brigade Council members as they strive to provide strategic, relevant leadership for our organisation. Pray that God will give them humility, unity, vision, wisdom and discernment as they seek His will to transform girls lives through GB.
