GBNI Brigader Uniform
Brigaders are aged 14 - 18; Year 11- 14
Brigaders have 2 uniforms - one to wear on regular company nights and one for special occasions referred to as ceremonial. In addition some Brigaders become Sub-Officers and there is a slight variation to the Brigader uniform for this rank.
Ceremonial
Navy skirt.
White open neck short sleeve blouse.
Navy V neck sweatshirt with embroidered GB crest on left breast.
Armband.
Plain black flat shoes
Navy ribbon to tie up long hair.
Black tights - up to 70 denier. (Each company may choose their preferred denier)
Company Night
Navy GB track bottoms with GB crest or plain navy track bottoms.
White open neck short sleeve blouse.
Navy V neck sweatshirt or GB Hoodie.
(at discretion of company Captain)
Plain white trainers.
Tunics, white blouses, white ankle socks, white slippers, and white ribbon for long hair are required to be worn by Brigaders only when taking part in GB PE. |
Girls' Brigade Hoodies are available in a range of vibrant colours and may be worn by Associates as follows:
- Company nights - optional and at discretion of Captain
- Company outings - cinema, bowling, sponsored walks...
- To and from competitions and GB activities
- GB Camp
- DofE expeditions
- Any other informal occasion and outside of GB during any leisure time.
Please note not all GB companies wear GB hoodies. Please check with your Captain for more details. Hoodies are ordered by Captains for their company and there is a minimum order of 6 garments.
All items of uniform may be purchased from our online shop at www.gbnishop.co.uk.
All proceeds from our online shop directly support the development work of GBNI in areas such as Scripture course, Programme materials, PE, Training and Marketing.
Please note we operate a packing and distribution centre from GBHQ in Antrim but it is not a walk in retail shop. All orders must be placed online at www.gbnishop.co.uk.
Customers may only come to our premises in Antrim to collect goods that have already been ordered online if they selected collection as method of dispatch at the point of ordering. Customers are advised to check in their online account to make sure the goods are packed and ready for collection before coming to collect.
