Explorers : 3 - 7 year olds (Pre-school - P4)

Explorers are the youngest group in Girls' Brigade.  Activities for Explorers may vary from company to company but here's an idea of the type of things they can enjoy: 

Some companies divide the Explorer section into 2 age groups - Under 5's and 5-7's, so the girls are grouped with others around the same age. Explorers meet once a week in early evenings or Saturday mornings. 

Badges

Explorers love to earn badges for their efforts in GB, including a reward system for attendance and Explorer Star badges for taking part in certain activities.

Uniform

Girls' Brigade wear uniform because it enables equality and promotes a sense of belonging - all the girls look the same irrespective of background. The uniform is available to purchase online from our official GBNI shop.

Join us!

Girls must be 3 before they can join GB.  Like school, children are grouped into sections according to their age on 1st July in any year.  Girls' Brigade sessions start in September each year so Explorers may join the September after their 3rd birthday.  Please note some companies only take new starts in September whilst others will take girls throughout the year as soon as they turn 3.  Please check this with the local leaders of your chosen company.
