Mission Opportunities

Fizz logo Fizz, established in 2009 is a Girls' Brigade Europe initiative to inspire GB leaders aged 16+ to get involved in overseas mission! Through Fizz, GB girls aged 16 + can serve in mission teams with others from the GB Europe Fellowship, to make a difference in the lives of others! Kosovo is currently the focus of Fizz. Selected GB Fizz teams travel to Kosovo each summer for one or two weeks during July and August, in partnership with Smile International.

Through FIZZ, GB is committed to:

Empowering women to join in God's mission, in His World.
Providing women with opportunities to become and grow as disciples.
Enabling transformation within individuals and communities.

FIZZ is for ....

GB members aged 16+, who are willing to travel, witness for Christ, work with children, try something new and have a go! Participants must be able to attend a 'Prepare to FIZZ' residential weekend for training and team building. This could be in NI, Scotland or England.

Situated in the Balkan region of Europe, Kosovo was part of a horrific ethnic conflict in 1998 which caused the deaths of 11,000 people and left many families emotionally and financially devastated. FIZZ teams aim to restore hope for life in Kosovo by:

Organising lively and exciting holiday Bible clubs for children in local villages.
Distributing aid to widows.
Participating in mission events in local churches in Kosovo.
Assisting with the running of the 3 GB companies in Kosovo.

Girls' Brigade International Project

The Fizz initiative will be the GB International Project running from 2010 to 2014. Girls' Brigade companies around the world will be supporting Fizz prayerfully and financially during this period. Funds will be raised through the 'FIZZ Gifts with a Difference' initiative which aims to restore hope in communities in Kosovo and enable more women to serve God and grow in faith.

FIZZ105	£20.00	Widow's aid	£20 will enable GB to provide a Kosovo widow with a kit full of essential food items.
FIZZ106	£25.00	Discipleship e-training course	£25 will allow one FIZZ team member to participate in a discipleship training course and be part of an online support network.
