Open Bible Award (OBA)

Who is the Award for?

Explorers, Juniors, Seniors, Brigaders and Associates can all achieve this Award.

How is it achieved?

Girls must attend Christian Sunday Worship on at least 22 occasions during the 26 week GB Session.  Sunday Worship can include Sunday School, Church, Youth Fellowship, Praise Service, Youth Rally and special services.  The OBA can be awarded for attendance for 1 – 15 years.

Where is it worn?

The Open Bible Award is worn as follows:

  • Explorers
    Most recent award gained is worn on the tunic, at point of the 'V’.

  • Juniors, Seniors
    Most recent award gained is worn on the armband, below the most recent attendance brooch.

  • Brigaders
    Before award of Brigader Brooch the most recent Open Bible Award gained is worn on the armband, below the most recent attendance brooch.  After gaining the Brigader Brooch, the most recent Open Bible Award gained is transferred from the armband onto a ribbon worn on the sweatshirt.

  • Associates
    Most recent Open Bible Award gained is placed on a ribbon worn on the sweatshirt.
