GBNI commissions new Office Bearers

24th September 2018

On the evening of Sunday 23rd September 2018, the Girls' Brigade NI held a Comissioning Service in St Paul's Parish, Lisburn.  The service dedicated the following three new Office Bearers into their roles within Girls' Brigade NI:

GBNI President, Mrs Alsion Stevenson, 160th NI St Paul's Parish
GBNI Vice President, Mrs Heather Sweet, 15th NI Cregagh Methodist
GBNI Chaplain, Rev Leslie Addis, 282nd NI Woodlands Presbyterian

It was an inspiring evening lead by Rev Arthur Young, alongside prayers and reading by Rev Kenneth Connor, Rev Jonathan Cockerill and Rev Leslie Addis.  Worship was led by St Paul's Parish worship band and GB choir and the act of commissioning was carried out by our out-going GBNI Chaplain Doreen Draffin.  The evening was finished with light refreshments provided by St Paul's Parish catering team.

Girls' Brigade NI would like to welcome our new post holders into their roles and we pray that with God's help they will successful fulfil each of their responsibilities in governing Girls' Brigade NI in according to His purpose.
